YONKERS, N.Y. - William A. Schaefer of Yonkers died Monday, Jan. 6. He was 50.
Schaefer was born Sept. 20, 1963, to Michel and Irene (Pajer) Schaefer in Yonkers where he was raised and graduated from Stepinac High School in 1981. He also attended Iona College and Columbia University. He worked as the sales manager for Sleepy's in Yonkers on Central Avenue and was currently working. He was a parishioner of Christ the King Church.
Schaefer is survived by his mother, Irene Schaefer of Greenacres, Fla.; brother, Kevin (Tara) Schaefer; and niece, Katie.
Calling hours are Thursday, Jan. 9 and Friday, Jan. 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 in Christ the King Church. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
