YONKERS, N.Y. Theresa H. Bassilious of Yonkers died July 31 at Weiler Hospital in the Bronx. She was 85.
Bassilious was born July 17, 1927, in Khartoum, Sudan to Habib and Virginy Istanbouleyah Battikha. She was married to Emmanuel Bassilious, who predeceased her.
She is survived by three daughters, Marie Suzanne Karim, Marie Cecile and Anne Marie; a son, Victor; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers. Burial will follow at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at F. Ruggiero and Sons Funeral Home in Yonkers.
