Cioffi was born May 30, 1934, to Antonio and Filomena (Battista) Cioffi in Peekskill, N.Y. He served with the U.S. Navy. He worked as an electrician for General Motors in Tarrytown, N.Y.
Cioffi is survived by his son, Anthony (Christine); two grandchildren; and sister, Mary Massimi. He was predeceased by his wife, Angela.
