YONKERS, N.Y. - Rosina Passela of Yonkers died Sept. 18. She was 65.
Passela was born in Austria, in 1949, to Anton Schmieder and Elizabeth Sloboda Schmieder. She was an administrative assistant for Temple Israel Center and previously wrote grants for cancer research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Passela is survived by her parents; son, Anthony Passela; brother, Simon Schmieder; and sister, Irene Whiteside.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Sept. 23 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Flower Funeral Home Inc., 714 Yonkers Ave. Religious services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
