YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers resident Ronald Patrick Sullivan died on Thursday, Jan. 21. He was 73.
Sullivan was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on July 23, 1942, to Joseph and Rose (Gaffney) Sullivan and attended schools in Bronxville and Yonkers.
He joined the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters in 1961, and he worked as a plumber with Local 1 in New York City until his retirement.
During the prime of his life, he was an avid skier who enjoyed his home on Hunter Mountain and summers on the beach in Belmar, N.J.
Sullivan is survived by his brother Joseph Sullivan.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Rose (Gaffney) Sullivan.
A Mass will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at the Church of St. Joseph, in Bronxville, followed by interment at Holy Mount Cemetery, in Eastchester. Westchester Funeral Home, in Eastchester, assisted with arrangements.
