YONKERS, N.Y. – Richard T. Cleary, 72, of Yonkers, died Saturday, Aug. 15 in Orlando, Fla.
He was born Dec. 3, 1942, in Yonkers, to Sylvester Patrick Cleary and Mary O'Connor. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers and retired as a first sergeant in the New York National Guard. He had a 30-year career in sales management with the Bell System.
He loved golf, the New York Yankees and Ireland.
He is survived by his sons, Kevin Cleary (Robin) of New Fairfield, Connecticut; Tim Cleary of Brewster, New York; Richard T. Cleary Jr. of Lake Mary, Florida; a grandson of New Fairfield, Connecticut; a brother of Fishkill, New York; a niece of Fishkill, New York; and a nephew of Pleasant Valley, New York.
He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Cleary, and a brother.
There will be a memorial in honor of Cleary on Sunday, Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Links at Union Vale, 153 North Parliman Road, Lagrangeville, N.Y.
