Blanco was born Oct. 26, 1938, to John Blanco and Rose Vitagliano in the Bronx. He also spent time living in Yonkers and Rockland County in N.Y. He worked as a school bus driver in Rockland County. He was also a sanitation worker for the City of N.Y., where he retired with over 20 years of service.
Blanco is survived by his wife, Geraldine; children, Rosemarie, John and Ralph; daughter-in-law, Beth; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; twin brother, Anthony Blanco; and sisters, Anna Marie Ferraro and Diane Varga.
A celebration of Blanco’s life will be held Friday, Jan. 17 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 18 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River, with a service being held at 4 p.m.
