Nancy Beniamino, 90, Lifelong Yonkers Resident

YONKERS, N.Y. – Nancy A. Pistone Beniamino, a lifelong Yonkers resident, died Sept. 6 at the Dobbs Ferry Pavilion of St. John's Hospital. She was 90. 

Beniamino was born Aug. 24, 1922, in Yonkers to Anthony and Angelina Fero Pistone. Raised in Yonkers, Beniamino graduated from Commerce High School. She was a lifelong parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. 

On Aug. 1, 1948, she married Louis N. Beniamino in Sacred Heart Church. He died April 3, 2010. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her friends, but her greatest joy was her grandchildren. 

Beniamino is survived by two sons, Louis (Deborah) Beniamino, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Donald (Denise) Beniamino, of New Rochelle; two daughters, Ann Marie (Andrew) Sokolik, of Tarrytown, and Regina Salvatore, of Yonkers; a brother, Philip Pistone, of Naples, Fla.; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Augustine Pistone. 

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday at Sacred Heart Church. Whalen and Ball Funeral Home handled arrangements.
