YONKERS, N.Y. Marianna Di Chiara of Yonkers died Oct. 11. She was 90.
Di Chiara was born Jan. 28, 1922, in Chiusa Sclafani, Italy to Vincenzo and Rosalia Gendusa Troia. She met Michele (Michael) Di Chiara in Italy and they married in Yonkers more than 50 years ago.
She is survived by two sisters, Rosaria Tortorici and Rosa Talamo; two brothers, Antonio and Antonino Troia; and 21 nieces and nephews.
Her husband predeceased her and a sister, Giuseppina Lembo, died in 1996.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers. Sinatra Memorial Home in Yonkers handled arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund Inc., 1801 Willamette Street, Suite 200, Eugene, OR 97401, in honor of her nephew who has this disease.
