YONKERS, N.Y. - Margaret Balun (nee Ferencz) of Yonkers died Wednesday, April 24. She was 93.
Balun was born Jan. 28, 1920, in Yonkers where she was raised and educated. She worked in many clerical positions for both Readers Digest and New York Telephone Company. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Balun is survived by Eleanor Piercarski and Ethel Ashline; her children, David and Dale; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by Emily Lou, Edward, Michael, Andrew and Edward Pinka; and by her husband, Frank Balun.
Calling hours will be Friday, April 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Whalen and Ball Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27 at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment Oakland Cemetery.
