YONKERS, N.Y. — Lifelong Yonkers resident Madeline Silvestri died on Wednesday, May 11. She was 95.
She was born Nov. 27, 1920 in Yonkers, to Nicholas and Margaret (Deretta) DePalma.
Silvestri is survived by her daughter, Laura Penzo and her son, Vincent and his wife, Adeline Silvestri; her grandchildren Madeline DeMartino, Donna Adams, Vincent Silvestri and Donald Silvestri; and nine great-grandchildren.
Silvestri was predeceased by her husband, Donald Silvestri; her brothers, Lawrence DePalma, Dominic DePalma, and Vincent DePalma, and her sister, Rose Aurisicchio.
Visitation is on Friday, May 13, from 4-9 p.m. at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., in Yonkers.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 14, at 10:30 a.m. at Monastery Church of the Sacred Heart, 110 Shonnard Place, in Yonkers.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, in Yonkers.
