YONKERS, N.Y. - John J. Volk of Yonkers died Feb. 28. He was 78.
Volk was born in Irvington, to John and Mary Schadel Volk. He was a printer for the Herald Statesman/Journal News for 40 years before retiring in 1997. He was a Korean War veteran.
Calling hours are March 4 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Flower Funeral Home Inc., 714 Yonkers Ave. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 5 at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church. Interment at St. Joseph's.
