John Candurra, 91, Of Yonkers, Retired Union Painter

YONKERS, N.Y. - John Candurra of Yonkers, formerly of the Bronx, died March 23. He was 91.

Candurra was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, a retired union painter and a member of the Scarsdale Elks.

Candurra is survived by his daughter, Donna (Danny) Manna; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Jennie Miceli; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose.

Calling hours are Wednesday, March 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Flynn Memorial Home, Central Park Ave., Wednesday, March 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Saint Frances of Rome Church, Bronx. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Candurra's memory may be made to Ferncliff Manor, 1154 Saw Mill River Road, Yonkers, NY 10710.
