Inez Picani, 87, Lifelong Yonkers Resident

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Inez Cardilli Picani, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died Monday, Oct. 5. She was 87.

Born to the late Nicholas and Geraldine Orza Cardilli, she married Dominick Picani in October 1966. He predeceased her in 1999. 

Picani attended art school and was a employee at Brass Rail Restaurant in New York City and Geri's Bakery in Yonkers. She was a parishioner of St. Matthew's Church in Yonkers, where she was a former member of the choir and the Bible study group. 

She was also predeceased by a brother, Richard Cardilli.

She is survived by her children, Angela and David Picani. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 5-9 p.m. at Flower Funeral Home Inc., 714 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church with interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
