Helen Romatowski, 90, Lifelong Yonkers Resident, Worked At Phelps Dodge

YONKERS, N.Y. - Helen Romatowski, a lifelong Yonkers resident, died Saturday, Oct. 18. She was 90.

Romatowski was born to Stanley and Maryanna (Sklodowska) Romatowski. She was a graduate of St. Casimir's School and High School of Commerce and worked as an office supervisor at Phelps Dodge for over 40 years. She was active in St. Casimir's Church helping with the bulletin and the bazaar. She was a member of the Polish Center Seniors.

Romatowski is survived by her brother, Raymond Romatowski of Texas; nieces, nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Henry, William and John Romatowski; and nephew, Gregg Romatowski.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Oct. 22 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Duchynski-Cherko Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23 at St. Casimir's Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
