Ruyack was born Feb. 11, 1915, to Joseph and Maria Frio Lo Ricco in Yonkers where she was raised and educated, graduating from Gorton High School in 1929. She was a manager in the Sacred Heart Grade and High School cafeteria from 1950 until her retirement in 1987. She was a parishioner of St. Gabriel's Church in Pompano Beach and previously a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers. She was a member of the Rosary Altar Society at Sacred Heart where she was a vice president from 1945 to 1950 and a member of the Sacred Heart Mothers and Sisters Guild where she was president from 1945 to 1950.
Ruyack is survived by her sons, Robert D. Ruyack of Lauderdale By The Sea and Joseph E. Ruyack II (Jean) of Summerfield, Fla.; sister, Ann Beaumeister of Yonkers; three grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Joseph E. Ruyack; son, John Ruyack; stepmother, Loretta Colucci Lo Ricco; brothers, Salvatore Lo Ricco and Pat Colucci; and sister, Joan Rubeo.
Calling hours ares Sunday, Jan. 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 6 in Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
