Ethel J. Doshna, 104, Of Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. – Ethel Doshna (nee Cochrane), 104, a lifetime Yonkers resident, died Monday, Sept. 14.

She worked for 45 years for New York Telephone. An avid bowler into her 90s, she was a lifetime member of The Daughters of Scotia, and a member of both Bryn Mawr Park Presbyterian Church and Smithfield Valley Presbyterian Church.

She was the wife of the late Michael Doshna and mother of Nan Cassidy.

Calling hours will be held Friday, Sept. 18, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Flynn Memorial home, 1652 Central Park Ave., Yonkers. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Smithfield Church Column Restoration Fund, 656 Smithfield Valley Road, Amenia, NY 12501.
