Ellen Rehn, 75, Lifelong Yonkers Resident, Owned Burns Wine & Liquor

YONKERS, N.Y. - Ellen Rehn (nee Burns), a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died Saturday, Nov. 16, She was 75.

Rehn graduated from Sacred Heart High School. She received her Bachelors Degree from Mercy College and worked as a bookkeeper before retiring. She was also former owner of Burns Wine & Liquor on Lockwood Avenue. She sang in the St. Celilia Choir at St. Casimir's Church for many years. She also did volunteer work at St. Casimir's Church and St. Joseph's Medical Center.

Rehn is survived by her children, Raymond (Debbie), Michael (Rachel), Timmy and Denise Broccone, Tommy (Eilleen), and Stephanie and James Dale; sister, Cathleen (John) Devlin; sister-in-law, Joanne Burns; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond "Ray" Rehn; and brother, Patrick J. Burns II.

Calling hours are Monday, Nov. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Yonkers Funeral Service, 107 Yonkers Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
