YONKERS, N.Y. - Dominick J. Femia of Yonkers died May 9. He was 83.
Femia was born in Italy, he was the son of Giuseppe and Rose Femia. He graduated from Saunders Trades and Technical High School and served eight years with the United States Navy. He formed his own landscaping company in the 1960's. He was a retired landscape contractor.
Femia is survived by his brothers, Joseph (Arlene) of Bronxville and Albert of Yonkers; and a niece and a nephew and their families. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours are Monday, May 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9;30 a.m. Tuesday, May 13 at Sacred Heart Church with interment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the American Heart Association and the Diabetes Association.
