Ryan was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and worked for many years as an insurance executive for MetLife in New York City.
Ryan is survived by his children, Patricia Rodriguez, Theresa Olson, Ellen Ryan, Elizabeth Lamorgese, David Ryan, Katheryn Sarfaty, Susan Harsch, John Ryan, Veronica Casanova, Matthew Ryan, Michael Ryan and Kwok Chan; 28 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; his siblings; nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Florence Ryan.
Calling hours are Thursday, June 13 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Flynn Memorial Home, on Central Park Ave. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, June 14 at St. Eugene’s Church. Interment will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at Saint Julianna’s Cemetery, Rock Lake, Pa.
