Cora L. Williams-Carter, 80, Of Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. - Cora L. Williams-Carter of Yonkers died Sept. 2. She was 80.

Williams-Carter was born Jan. 19, 1933, to Charlie Williams and Lena Mae Jacobs-Williams in Lake Waccamaw, N.C. She worked for many years as a nurse and was a longtime member of Community Baptist Church of Yonkers.

Williams-Carter is survived by daughters, Rosalie Jackson of White Plains and Marge Paradis of Worcester, Mass.; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and sister, Carrie Coleman. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Richard W. Carter; and brother, Edward Williams.

Calling hours are Friday, Sept. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Community Baptist Church in Yonkers. Homegoing celebration will be Saturday, Sept. from 7 at 9 a.m. The final viewing will be held from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m.
