YONKERS, N.Y. ? Carmine Gizzo died Dec. 12 at his home in Yonkers. He was 86.
Gizzo, a landscaper, was born on March 5, 1926, in Italy to Salvatore and Mariantonia Miele Gizzo.
He is survived by his wife, Mariantonia Tenore Gizzo; three daughters, Connie (Vito) Cianfano, Maria Cristina (Gerardo) Giordano and Angela (Giuseppe) Parisi; 10 grandchildren, Rosanne Cianfano, Anthony (Lesa) Giordano, Filomena (Rocco) Trombetta, Alfredo Cianfano, Angelo Forgione, Joseph (Anita) Forgione, Lucia Parisi (Matthew) Holsopple, Joseph Parisi, Antoniette Cianfano (Doni) Weigand, Marie A. Parisi; and 11 great-grandchildren, Isabella, Lilianna and Jacob Giordano, Julianna, Michael and Joseph Trombetta, Alexia and Trevor Holsopple, Adriana Weigand and Joseph and Michael Forgione. He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Geraldine Gizzo.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday at Assumption Church Tuckahoe, with entombment at Ferncliff Cemetery.
