Duffy worked for Met Life in New York City, N.Y. Telephone in White Plains and later for the N.Y. Times from October 1967 until her retirement in March 1989. She was president of the Yonkers chapter of The Gold Star Mothers from 1972 to 2009. She also volunteered at the Kingsbridge VA hospital in the Bronx every Sunday. She sang for and was in countless plays with the St Mary's Players and also the St Barnabas Players.
Duffy is survived by her children, William A. Duffy from Yonkers (Joanne), Travis and Chase Eaione. She was predeceased by her husband, William l. Duffy; and son, Keith W. Duffy.
Calling hours are Sunday, July 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at F. Ruggiero & Sons, Inc. - 732 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY 10704 (914) 375-1400. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 8 at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, Boyd & Barnes Ave., Bronx. Interment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale.
