YONKERS, N.Y. – Assunta DiResta, a longtime Yonkers resident, died June 2. She was 94.
DiResta was born in Vitulazio, Prov. di Caserta, Italy, on Aug. 15, 1920, emigrating to the United States in 1947 with her husband Pasqualino and working as a dress maker of personal and professional formal wear.
She was predeceased by her husband and three children, Peter, Adelina, and Linda, and is survived by her children Gennaro DiResta, John DiResta, and Diane DiResta-Maiello.
Visiting hours are from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at the Sinatra Funeral Home, 315 South Broadway. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
