He was born in Taglicozzo, Italy, to the late Antonio and Anna Iacomini DeSanctis. He was employed at General Motors for 36 years before his retirement. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Yonkers and a family man who enjoyed spending a lot of time with his grandchildren.
He was the husband of Rita DeSanctis, who survives him; father of Maria (Nunzio) Pietrosanti; grandfather of Nicholas, Daniel and Anthony; great-grandfather of Ella and Juliet; and brother of Paola Pinori.
Visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Flower Funeral Home Inc., 714 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 70 Park Hill Ave., Yonkers, with entombment to follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum.
