Anna K. Zumar, 93, Longtime Yonkers Resident, Worked For Con Edison

YONKERS, N.Y. - Anna K. Zumar (nee Kochan), a resident of Yonkers since 1938, died Thursday, Sept. 19. She was 93.

Zumar was born May 2, 1920, in Czechoslovakia, she came to the U.S. and worked locally for Con Edison for 33 years. She was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Of Myra Church-Ash St., for over 70 years. She was a member of St. Nick's Mother's Club.

Zumar is survived by her children, Nicholas J. (Cecelia) Zumar and Irene (Stephen) Evanko; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Zumar Sr.; and daughter, Maryann Satriale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23 at St. Casimir's Church. Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery.
