Ann (DiSanto) Johnson, 87, Of Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Lifelong Yonkers resident Ann (DiSanto) Johnson died on Saturday, Jan. 23. She was 87.

Johnson was born on Jan. 10, 1929 to Leonard and Sara (Denise) DiSanto in Yonkers and attended Yonkers schools. She worked in Sacred Heart High School's cafeteria for more than 25 years, retiring in 2000. 

She was a parishioner of Monastery Church of the Sacred Heart and a member of the Finian Seniors.

She is survived by four children; Beverly Mayorca, Christina O'Neill, John Colangelo and Joseph Colangelo; grandchildren Adam, Amber, Brian and Matthew; great-grandson Emry; and brother Leonard DiSanto..

Johnson was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Colangelo, and her second, Horace Johnson; parents Leonard and Sara (Denise) DiSanto; and siblings, Rocco DiSanto, Louise Kushnir, Mildred Nunziaty, Teresa Policaro, Faye McIntyre and Sara DiLiddo.

Visiting hours will be from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave., in Yonkers, and from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27. A Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, at Monastery Church of the Sacred Heart, 110 Shonnard Place, in Yonkers. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
