YONKERS, N.Y. – Andrew Jasper Parker Jr., a longtime Yonkers resident, died Dec. 4 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Yonkers. He was 70.
He was born April 1, 1942, in Durham, N.C., to Andrew Jasper Sr. and Mary Wiggins Parker. He worked as a chauffeur for the Jawonio Corp. in Yonkers for many years. On Feb. 25, 1967, he married Shirley Scott in Yonkers.
In addition to his wife and his mother, he is survived by two sons, Lonnie Parker, of Nanuet, and Curtis Parker, of Yonkers; a daughter, Denise Parker, of Yonkers; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 1 to 5 p.m. Monday at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home in Yonkers. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Yonkers.
