Yonkers Will See First New Firehouse In Over 30 Years

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Residents of Yonkers will soon see a newly built firehouse in the city; the first one in over 30 years, according to Westchester News 12.

After the 88-year-old firehouse was deemed too hazardous by officials, the building as closed in June. The cost of building a new firehouse, which ranges from $10 to $15 million, would have been approximately the same costs for repairs on the old building, reported Westchester News 12.
