Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced on Wednesday that 29-year-old Richard Silva of Yonkers has pleaded guilty in County Court to a felony charge of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child.
According to Scarpino, the District Attorney’s Office received information that a computer at Silva’s home may have the child porn on it last year, leading to the execution of a search warrant at his residence.
Scarpino said that on Sept. 11, the warrant was executed at his Yonkers home, where a computer was seized. Forensics performed on that computer revealed more than 100 images and videos of children engaging in sexual acts.
Silva was arrested late last year and initially pleaded not guilty to the charge in court. He is due back in court on June 19, when he will be sentenced.
