The city will launch an ad campaign this summer informing the public of the new $5,000 fine and stronger anti-litter law, which was passed Tuesday, lohud.com reported.
Those ads will appear in bus shelters and on city trash cans on well-traveled streets such as Ashburton Avenue, the lohud.com story said.
Once filed with the state, the new law will take effect in 90 days, according to the lohud.com report.
