Yonkers Graduation Rate Jumps Nearly Six Percent In 2015

YONKERS, N.Y. – Figures just released by the state note that graduation rates for Yonkers-based students jumped up almost six points from 2014 to 2015, according to LoHud.com.

Some 74.2 percent of students who entered ninth-grade in the 2011-12 school year graduated in June, LoHud.com notes.

That's an increase of nearly six points from 2014's 68.2 percent, reported LoHud.com.

State numbers have steadily increased over the last three years from 74 percent in 2012 to 78.1 percent last year, LoHud.com says.
