Yonkers Crew Fixes Water Main Break On Lamartine Avenue

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Department of Public Works crews worked to repair a broken water main on Lamartine Avenue which left some residents without water and closing off traffic at a busy intersection on Friday, according to a report by News 12 Westchester.

A hole big enough to fit a person gushed water, and more than 120 people including tenants were without water as the crews worked, the report said.

Crews expect to repair the break sometime Friday and it may have occurred because of the freezing temperatures, the report said.
