Yonkers Begins Process Of Daylighting Saw Mill River

YONKERS, N.Y. -- The second phase of daylighting the Saw Mill River in Yonkers got underway with the demolition of a building on Warburton Avenue on Tuesday, Sept. 16, according to LoHud.com.

The demolition of the building will enable pedestrian access from another area of exposed river near Larkin Plaza to another area by Mill Street, LoHud.com said. 

The Saw Mill River runs through Yonkers but has long been covered by streets and parking lots, LoHud.com reported.
