Westchester Police Officer Hit By Car On Cross County Parkway

YONKERS, N.Y. -- A Westchester County police officer was hit and injured by a car on the Cross County Parkway Wednesday morning while investigating an earlier crash, according to a report by LoHud.com.

The accident took place on the eastbound Cross County at the split between local and express lanes around 4:04 a.m., the report said.

The motorist who struck the police officer was not charged, the report said.
