At approximately 4:30 p.m. on June 5, police were dispatched to 165 Bruce Ave. in Yonkers, where there were reports of the remains. Preliminary reports found that the remains were possibly discarded at the location where they were discovered.
The police investigation is ongoing. The identity of the deceased party has not yet been released by the Westchester County Medical Examiner's Office.
On Thursday, Yonkers Police Sgt. Dean Politopoulos offered an update into the investigation, asking for the public’s assistance in helping to further their case. Members of the Major Case and Crime Scene Unit are in charge of the investigation.
