The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Wednesday to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 47-year-old James Jordan, who has moved from an apartment on Hudson Street to a place on Riverdale Avenue in Yonkers.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Jordan as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent and predicate sex offender.
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Jordan had sexual contact with his 14-year-old victim in July 1988, using force. He was arrested by the Westchester County Department of Public Safety on sexual abuse charges and sentenced to between two and six years in state prison the following August. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers Police Department SOR Unit.
