YONKERS, N.Y. -- A stretch of the northbound Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers has reopened Sunday afternoon after being closed for several hours following a serious multi-vehicle accident.
The accident involved an overturned automobile.
The driver of a silver Jeep reportedly suffered a seizure, causing the vehicle to hit a guardrail, according to a report by News 12.
The unidentified man was hospitalized with serious head and neck injuries, the report said.
The northbound lanes were closed between Tuckahoe Road and Nepperhan Avenue, with backups to Palmer Road (Exit 5A).
A southbound lane was also closed in the area of the accident as the police investigates the crash.
