YONKERS, N.Y. — A Bronx man is facing several misdemeanor charges after he crashed his car after being chased across Yonkers by Westchester County Police early Saturday, lohud.com reported.
Pearce Cuthbert, 30, was expected to be charged by Westchester County police with misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment, reckless driving and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, lohud.com reported.
Westchester County Police spokesman Kieran O’Leary said about 1:10 a.m. Saturday, police at a sobriety checkpoint on the Yonkers Avenue exit ramp from the northbound Saw Mill River Parkway saw a car start up the ramp, stop and reverse itself, and cross a grassy shoulder back onto the Saw Mill, lohud,com reported.
Police said the car left the parkway at Palmer, crashed into several parked cars on Nepperhan Avenue and rolled over on Orchard Street, where the suspect got out an fled on foot but was apprehended, lohud.com reported.
