The three will hold a news conference at 12 p.m. at the i.Park Hudson Complex I Park building, at 131 Warburton Ave. in Yonkers.  Astorino announced in May plans to move the Yonkers Family Court from 53 S. Broadway to this site, which would provide more space and parking, as well as improved security and accessibility, a press release from the county said.

The new location is expected to save the county about $600,000 in annual rent since the county has a long-term lease for the building. The move would take around six to nine months, with renovations planned to begin after final plans are drafted and approved by the court and all building permits are in place, the release said.

“This has been a team effort between the county and our judicial counterparts to find a new home for the Yonkers Family Court,” said Astorino in a statement. “This serves the interests of justice for those who need the court, as well as our taxpayers.”
