Crews will be onsite to line and repair an aging sanitary sewer, which services southwest Yonkers and runs under the parkway.

Phase I of the construction will take place on July 19 and 20 from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., causing lane closures of the southbound side of the parkway, south of the McLean Avenue Bridge to the New York City line. Traffic will not be able to enter or exit at McLean Avenue during Phase 1 construction activities. Only one lane will be open traveling southbound.

The second and final phase of the construction will run through the overnight hours from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. on July 26 and 27 on the northbound side of the Saw Mill Parkway, leaving one lane open for traffic, from the city line to the McLean Avenue Bridge.

Rain dates for construction are scheduled for August 2-3. For additional information or questions, contact the Mayor’s Helpline at 914-377-HELP (4357) or dial the New York State Department of Transportation at 511 or visit www.511ny.org.
