Schools were ready to open in Yonkers on Monday but streets were still not passable, so schools will reopen Tuesday, after more than 20 inches of snow fell, lohud.com reports.

Efforts at clean up in Mount Vernon, Port Chester and Dobbs Ferry appeared to be wrapping up Monday as well, lohud.com says.
