Blake did not live at the home and was not there when the fire broke out at about 6 a.m. He was renting out the home, which he bought in 2005 for $1.5 million. There were five bedrooms and five bathrooms in the home, which had 5,856 square feet of living space, according to a report on wtsp.com.

The identities of the victims were not released by investigators.

Blake was born in Yonkers and played throughout high school in Fairfield County. His Wikipedia biography says Blake now lives in Westport.

His career as a singles player ended last year in a five-set, first-round loss at the U.S. Open. Blake was also inducted into the Fairfield County Sports Hall of Fame last year.

Pictures of the blaze are on the wtsp.com website.
