Five Injured As Roof Collapses On Central Avenue In Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Five people were injured when a roof collapsed just before noon at National Wholesale Liquidators at 798 Central Park Ave, in Yonkers.

It appears that a piece of construction equipment fell through the roof while work was being done, Yonkers Police said.

The injuries are described as minor, Yonkers Police said.

Yonkers PD ESU and YFD are currently searching the area for any additional victims.

Residents are asked to avoid traveling in the area of Central Park Avenue and Mile Square Road.
