Fight Breaks Out Between Yonkers Fire Officials, One Taken To Hospital

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Police are investigating an altercation between Yonkers Fire Commissioner John Darcy and Lt. Michael O'Connor at the department’s annual Christmas party.

The brawl took place at The Fairways at Dunwoodie in Yonkers, according to multiple reports.

Witnesses describe the altercation as very ugly and unfortunate and O'Connor was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital as a result of the fight, where he was treated and released, according to News 12.

The cause of the incident has not been confirmed, but the intelligence unit of the Yonkers Police Department is now investigating if anything criminal took place, according to News 12.
