- Daniel Goldberg, a Yonkers resident who was a member of the 1996 Roosevelt High School State Championship football team, died suddenly Friday at age 33.
- Police were still are searching for whomever killed a man in Yonkers last weekend. Victor Fitzgerald, 21, was shot twice in the stomach Sunday in a parking lot on Riverdale Avenue, police said. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital and pronounced dead.
