The Cardinal Cooke Memorial Award was founded by the Archdiocese of New York and is awarded to the senior who has maintained the highest scholastic standing during the four-year collegiate course. The Sister Doris Smith Award was founded by the faculty, administration, and staff in honor of the former College president and is awarded to the student with the highest index in the Core Curriculum.
Lulgjuraj received the awards during the 104th Commencement on Saturday, May 21. Lulgjuraj was also awarded the Kathleen P. Knowles Award — presented for academic excellence to an outstanding nursing student — during the Baccalaureate Awards and Hooding Ceremony on Friday, May 20.
