“The Idolatry of Idiots” is a contemporary, political satire that reveals the dark, hidden agenda of politicians. The characters in this novel engage in bribery, coercion, hypocrisy, murder, rape, brainwashing and social engineering.

Although they are few in number, they dictate what the people can eat, drink and drive in their quest to manipulate and control them. They let society believe they work tirelessly to improve its lives and the lives of its children. They let people trust them with their money, their lives and their votes through ruinous taxes and a maze of government regulations.

Generally, they steal the people’s freedoms. Guard one’s trust and avoid falling into a trap in “The Idolatry of Idiots.” Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Paullin, of Yonkers, is a graduate of the Ohio State University, became a Peace Corps volunteer, working in educational television for the primary grades in Colombia. Upon retirement, he turned to writing fiction and nonfiction not only to share thoughts and ideas with his readers but also to analyze complicated subject matter and to simplify these complicated subjects to readily grasp their relevance to their own personal lives.

The author hopes his writings will inspire readers to become more thoughtful, introspective and conscientious citizens, who are interested in the world around them, making readers conscious of how events impact their daily lives.
