The luncheon was hosted by WoMen in Relocation, a trade group of relocation and real estate professionals, in which Westchester Real Estate, Inc. members Gail Fattizzi and Debra Budetti are active.
Fattizzi was instrumental in introducing WoMen in Relocation to The Bridge Fund four years ago when the fund was selected to be the recipient of money raised at the group’s annual holiday lunch. This year’s holiday event raised more than $3,000 for the organization.
The Bridge Fund’s work is supported strictly through private donations. The fund's primary mission is to prevent homelessness for households experiencing short-term financial crises, keeping them in their existing housing until they can once again stabilize their situations.
Westchester Real Estate, Inc. also sponsored a family for the holidays that was assisted this year by The Bridge Fund. The family, victims of domestic abuse, had to relocate for their safety, leaving their home and belongings to start a new life.
Members of Westchester Real Estate, Inc. donated bedding for all family members, jeans & sneakers for the three children, kitchen essentials, and toys so that the family could have a joyful holiday celebration.
Westchester Real Estate, Inc.’s next effort to support The Bridge Fund will be a networking & wine tasting event to be held at G. Griffin Wine & Spirits in Rye. Participants will each be asked to make a minimum $10 donation for their tasting glass, with all money collected going directly to The Bridge Fund.
