Proposals should be original in design with family-friendly, universal appeal. Artists are encouraged to explore the themes of transportation, movement, social interaction and the local community and to present these themes in a family-friendly and positive light.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and must live or maintain a studio address in the lower Hudson Valley region of New York, including New York City, Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster and Sullivan Counties.
The artist stipend for this project is $5,000-$7,000 plus materials.
In addition to proposed artwork, materials list, and timeline, artists should include a recent CV highlighting public art projects and related professional experience.
